Pelham community members gathered at the New York Institute for Special Education Monday night to listen to the city's final outline of its Pelham Parkway construction project.
News 12 is told the project will include reconstruction of the parkway, the addition of a left-turn lane on Williamsbridge Road, new sewers and drains, sidewalks, ramps and an update to traffic signals and street lighting.
While construction is underway, the project is expected to affect the flow of traffic and parking in the Morris Park neighborhood.
A community board representative tells News 12 the construction will take place over four years and should be completed by 2021.
