Police: $10M drug bust executed in the Bronx
Authorities say they executed a $10 million drug bust in the Bronx Thursday morning.
Police say they removed about 2 million packets of synthetic marijuana from a garage on Poplar Street. The NYPD tweeted pictures of the bust, showing the drug - referred to as K2 or spice - pre-packaged for sale in laundry bags.
The DEA told News 12 that the raid is an extension of last week's arrests of people suspected of selling the synthetic drug. They say the synthetic marijuana crackdown has resulted in dozens of arrests.
Police say manufacturing the drug is classified as a health-code violation.
