Two people are facing charges after they allegedly stole a donation jar from an Old Bridge 7-Eleven.
Old Bridge police say that Michael Locurto and Angela Cichetti were caught on surveillance video stealing the donations on Aug. 1. Police say that Cichetti distracted the cashier while Locurto stole the container. The donation canisters that were stolen were for the Muscular Dystrophy Association Summer Camp and Feeding America.
Old Bridge police released the surveillance video to the public in the hope that someone would be able to identify the suspects.
Police say that a good Samaritan who saw the video on the news recognized the pair at an Old Bridge Burger King Tuesday morning and called police.
Locurto and Cichetti were charged with theft of movable property and possession of stolen property.
