An elderly woman was beaten and robbed in Throgs Neck and it was caught on a neighbor's Ring camera.

The 82-year-old was in her home when a man broke the glass door from the back and went inside. Police say the intruder then punched and kicked the woman and stole $400 before fleeing in a red car.

The suspect fled in a red car. Video shows him fleeing east on Logan Avenue.

Neighbors told News 12 they couldn't believe this happened to a kind woman.

Police are searching for the man responsible and say there is not a pattern of break-ins.
