Police: Antisemitic images found inside Rockland synagogue

Police told News 12 one was drawn behind a coat rack and another a few steps ahead under a metal counter where coffee is made. One was found drawn on the wall and another was scratched deep into the computer screen. A black piece of clothing was also torn.

Police say several swastikas were found inside a synagogue in Monsey.
Police told News 12 one was drawn behind a coat rack and another a few steps ahead under a metal counter where coffee is made. One was found drawn on the wall and another was scratched deep into the computer screen. A black piece of clothing was also torn.
It is unknown when the act was committed. Those who go to the synagogue first noticed the antisemitic markings Friday evening when they arrived.
"I am glad that the Town of Ramapo police and the Rockland County Sheriff's Department both took this incident seriously, and I am confident that they will get to the bottom of it,” said the co-founder of the Orthodox Jewish Public Affairs Council.
The investigation is ongoing.
