Police: Argument leads to stabbing at BX gas station
Police are searching for a man who allegedly stabbed a Bronx resident Friday morning at City Island's only gas station.
A worker at the Sunoco station on City Island Avenue says the 45-year-old victim pulled up in his car to go inside the station and buy coffee and juice.
The worker says that when the victim entered the store at around 11 a.m., he ran into someone he knew. She says the victim tried to shake the man's hand, but the two got into an argument instead.
According to the witness, the men then ran outside, and the suspect stabbed the victim three times near the gas pumps.
The suspect drove off and the victim was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center.
News 12 is told the victim is in stable condition, but was taken into surgery.
