An escaped prisoner is back in police custody after leading police on a manhunt throughout the Bronx.
Police say that they arrested 27-year-old Kevin Taylor around 8:45 p.m. Friday at an apartment on Ogden Avenue.
Taylor escaped police custody Friday around 7 a.m. at St. Barnabas Hospital. He was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of marijuana.
He was reportedly at the hospital after he complained he felt sick.
Police say he threw something at the officer guarding him, distracting that officer. He then took off with one handcuff still on his wrist, leading police on a 12-hour chase.
Taylor has an extensive record, including 40 arrests and a recent stint at a maximum-security prison.
He now faces his initial charges, as well as escape charges.
