A Bronx man has been charged after police say he stabbed two women inside of an apartment building during an unprovoked attack.
Luis Rodriguez, 23, was charged with two counts of assault.
A 74-year-old and 51-year-old woman were stabbed in the fingers and chest during the incident Tuesday on Aldus Street around 4:30 p.m.
Rodriguez was arrested at the scene, and police say he had a knife on him.
Neighbors say they are concerned because Rodriguez may have suffered from mental illness, but they did not think he was capable of attacking.
Both women live on the fourth floor of the apartment.
Police say their relationship to Rodriguez remains unclear.
