Police say a child was struck by a vehicle and critically injured in Brooklyn Sunday evening.

It happened around 6:12 p.m. near 2952 Gerritsen Ave., near Seba Playground.

Police say a 4-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle. He was taken to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition.

News 12 is told that the driver remained at the scene.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
