A man was fatally shot in Hunts Point late Friday, police say.

They say the incident happened in front of 8-13 Faile St. around 10 p.m.

Police tell News 12 that when they arrived at to the scene, they found 35-year-old Jose Rivera with gunshot wounds to the torso.

He was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police believe that the shooting was gang-related, but there is no official word on what led up to the incident.
