Wayne World Records owner Wander Rosario sustained a gunshot wound when two men broke into his recording studio earlier this week.
Two men broke into Wayne World Records on Morrison Avenue and Westchester Avenue a few minutes after midnight on Wednesday, Nov. 13, while Rosario was finishing up a recording session with one of his artists.
The suspects were armed with guns and one of them was wearing a mask. The masked suspect threw the victim, who was inside the studio, to the ground. The two men stole cash, several electronics and personal items worth hundreds of dollars.
When the men fled the scene, Rosario chased them in a car.
According to police, during the chase one of the suspects shot at Rosario's windshield and struck him in the shoulder before they got away.
Wander Rosario says that he is not interested in pressing charges and is going to continue to work and help the community he grew up in.
Sources told News 12 that the suspects got away in a Honda Accord. Police officials say they are looking to identify the two men caught on tape who are responsible for the crime.
Anyone with information that could help police identify the suspects is asked to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
