Cindi Olivo, 33, was stabbed to death and found in her University Avenue apartment on July 12An autopsy revealed she had been stabbed multiple times in the neck and was left in the apartment for weeks.
A foul odor is what prompted neighbors to call police and start an investigation into her murder.
Elizabeth Muniz told News 12 she didn't speak with her daughter for a year and a half because her boyfriend was controlling. When she received the call in July about her daughter's murder, she said she knew immediately in her heart what had happened.
