A man was fatally shot inside a West Farms beauty salon Tuesday, according to police.

Officials say the incident happened at the Believe Beauty Spa near the intersection of Southern Boulevard and East Tremont Avenue just before 6 p.m.

A witness tells News 12 the incident was started because of an argument inside the business. The witness says one person involved left and returned with two other people, one of whom entered the barber shop and starting firing.

Officials say the man was shot and then went into cardiac arrest.

The victim's identity has not yet been released.

No arrests have been made.
