Police say a man in his early 20s was fatally shot Wednesday morning outside a bodega in the Olinville section of the Bronx.
The incident occurred just after 6:30 a.m. at 729 East 213th St. Police say the unnamed victim was twice shot in the chest in front of the store. He died at the scene, where at least four bullet casings and shattered glass could be seen.
Investigators blocked off at least three streets as they searched for evidence and a suspect.
Authorities are hoping surveillance video from the bodega will help them identify a suspect. No arrests have been made.
Residents tell New 12 this is the second shooting in three days in the neighborhood. They say shots rang out over the weekend two blocks from the most recent shooting.
