Police say a man was killed overnight outside Horseshoe Playground in Morrisania. 

Police were called to the scene around midnight where they found a 31-year-old man shot multiple times in the torso on a bench outside Horseshoe Playground along Hall Place.

First responders rushed him to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as Jamarr Vestal who lived about 30 minutes from the playground, which is across from a day care and school.

Authorities have the park closed as they continue to gather more information on this case. 

No arrests have been made.
