A man was shot just after 2 p.m. Friday in Morrisania, police say.
Shell casings were found on the ground right outside of Saint Anthony of Padua Church on East 166th Street. There was another crime scene just a block over on East 167th Street outside of the Union Avenue Consolidation.
Angela Blanco told News 12 she woke up to the sound of gunshots and one of the bullets came way too close for comfort. A bullet ended up hitting her bedroom window and landed on her windowsill.
Officials say one of the bullets ended up striking a 25-year-old man in the chest.
Police say the victim is in stable condition. They are unclear if he was the intended target. They are also unclear if this was a gang related incident.
The shooter fled on East 167th Street in a white BMW, according to police.
This marks the 11th shooting since Wednesday in the borough.
