Police: Man robbed laundromat at gunpoint
Police have released surveillance video of a suspect they say robbed a laundromat near Crotona Park.
Officers say a man walked into the laundromat at 1387 Boston Road just after 4 a.m. on April 30.
They say he displayed a gun, demanded money from the register and then fled with an undetermined amount of cash.
No one was injured during the incident.
One employee told News 12 the laundromat is currently open 24 hours a day, but that the business will soon be under new management and the hours could change.
Other workers at the laundromat say the area is a high-crime neighborhood.
