Police say a woman from the Budd Lake section of Mount Olive was killed at a motorsport event in upstate New York.

The crash happened Saturday around 9 p.m. at 240 Lape Road in Charleston, New York, where "Mountain Madness," an outdoor motorsports event, was taking place.

According to police, the passenger, identified as 19-year-old Katie Falgiano, was partially ejected from a vehicle and subsequently pinned beneath.

Police say several bystanders were able to pull Falgiano from under the vehicle.

Falgiano was flown to Albany Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this point.
