Police are asking for the public's help in identifying an adult woman whose remains were found in Crotona Park.
The NYPD released a sketch Sunday of the victim, who they now say is an adult woman.
Law enforcement responded to a call of a suspicious package in the area of Franklin Ave. and Crotona Park South Friday afternoon at around 2 p.m. When they arrived at the scene, they discovered the unidentified woman's body parts in two separate bags.
Police searched through garbage bins Saturday looking for evidence.
Crotona Park employees were out Sunday cleaning up from some people barbecuing, but also from police digging through garbage bins searching for evidence.
No arrests have been made so far.
The New York City Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
