Police search for driver in deadly Bronx hit-and-run
Police are looking for the driver in a deadly hit-and-run in the Bronx.
The accident happened at the corner of Jerome Avenue and Macombs Road around 10 p.m. Tuesday.
Police say a 35-year-old man was getting out of a taxi when he was hit. 
According to police, when they arrived on the scene the man was lying in the street with trauma to the head and body. They aren't sure if he accidentally fell or was purposely laying there.
The man was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
According to police, he appeared to be drunk, but they are waiting on the results of a blood sample. 
The NYPD says a white sedan was seen leaving the scene of the crash.
The name of the victim has yet to be released.
