A local nonprofit is making sure adults with autism can find the right job, and its inspiration is inside a Long Island Italian restaurant.
Debbie Stone is the founder of Pop.Earth, a nonprofit organization that is committed to providing holistic health and wellness options for those with autism and developmental disorders.
The chef at Mercato Cucina, in Huntington Station, is volunteering his time to teach young adults with autism work and life skills.
