Young Bronx students are getting the opportunity to learn some of the skills needed for careers in film and television.

The Youth Made Media Program is sponsored by the non-profit City Parks Foundation and is held at the Hunts Point Recreation Center. Students get to learn all about the industry and study techniques that include audio and video production skills.

Organizers say the goal is to help students develop strong leadership skills and discover new talents. The program operates in all five boroughs and has over 350 participants that range in age from 13 to 19.
