Protesters demand indictment in Ramarley Graham case
Protesters rallied outside the U.S. attorney's office in lower Manhattan to call for results of the yearslong investigation into the police-involved shooting death of Ramarley Graham.
Eight youth organizations from across the city joined Graham's family and mothers of other police-involved shooting victims to decry police violence.
They called for the indictment of NYPD Officer Richard Haste, who shot Graham inside his Williamsbridge home three years ago.
Protesters say only federal prosecutors can bring justice in Graham's death.
Federal prosecutors declined to comment for this story, instead sending News 12 a statement that had been released last summer saying "a proper investigation must be thorough, fair and independent."
