Tuesday may not have been the best day for gardening, but that didn't stop some Morris Park students from showing off their "green-thumbs.”
Students from P.S. 83 teamed up with the Morris Park Business and Improvement District to plant daffodil bulbs around the neighborhood.
The project was done in honor of the lives lost on Sept. 11, but organizers say it also teaches the children some valuable life lessons.
"We partnered with P.S. 83, the 4th graders, and we wanted to show them what it means to be a responsible citizen and what it means to love your community, so we are cleaning tree peas and we have planned things that people living around here will enjoy in spring," says Camelia Tepelus, the executive director of the Morris Park BID.
