Quilters pay tribute on World AIDS Day
In honor of World AIDS Day, some Bronx residents attended a quilt making event at Jacobi Medical Center.
The men and women put their sewing skills to the test with help from the Harlem Girls Quilting Circle.
The participants, who are battling the disease or have a family member going through it, made a square that will be part of a memorial quilt, honoring though who have died from the AIDS virus.
The finished product is set to be revealed in the atrium at Jacobi Medical Center on Dec. 1.
