Native Bronx rapper Fat Joe performed a free concert at Crotona Park Wednesday evening.
More than 1,000 people attended the concert, which was part of the SummerStage series.
Fat Joe told News 12 that he felt nervous before his performance.
"It's the Bronx man," the rapper said. "It's the first time I actually got to really do a concert like this in the middle of my hood, where I'm from, so I want it to go real perfect."
According to the City Parks Foundations, SummerStage is the largest free performing arts festival in New York City.
Organizers said they want to spend more money to bring some big names back to the Bronx again next year.
