Ready, Set, Fit: Running tips
Many people know it's important to stretch before going running to prevent injury, but doing the right exercises to cool down after a workout is often overlooked.
News 12's Natasha Geigel met with fitness expert Nadia Murdock to learn some post-run stretching exercises and other jogging tips.
Murdock recommends resistance bands. They're inexpensive, fit easily into any bag, and help to stretch a variety of muscles.
Having the right jogging gear is also important, Murdock says, to avoid chafing and keep your muscles warm during the winter months.
"You really have to consider what you're buying when you're training, and if you're taking it seriously, it's well worth the expense," she says.
