Residents say they are concerned about the waterfront property in the South Bronx slated to be the location of the city's next real estate boom.

One of several locations is near Lincoln Avenue and 132nd Street, where the barbed wire fences and industrial landscape could soon change into a hub for apartments and businesses, making owners excited about potential new customers.

However, community group South Bronx Unite says it's worried about gentrification and pushing out longtime residents.

"South Bronx Unite is really questioning aggressively the wisdom of such development in an area that lacks so many basic transportation and infrastructural amenities," says Monxo Lopez, of South Bronx Unite.

The group says it plans on meeting with Mayor Bill de Blasio within the next few days.
