Residents disgusted by filth along Old Kingsbridge Road
Filth and debris is what some residents say lines what they call "the forgotten street" in the Bronx.
Residents say Old Kingsbridge Road has become a dumping ground for everything from old cars to piles of trash. They say cars sometimes stay parked for days or sometimes years without license plates, causing neighbors to fight for parking spaces.
Parents say they can't even let their kids play outside because it's not safe. Beverly Andersen says her kids both got hurt playing outside. She says she is tired of the city ignoring the conditions.
In addition, residents say in the winter the road is never plowed because the city has deemed it an alley.
News 12 reached out to the Department of Transportation for a statement on the matter but has not heard back.
