Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, so many Bronx residents headed outside to soak up the last of the season.
Jarlin Perez and her family cooked up a storm with a barbecue in Van Cortlandt Park for the holiday.
"We're having fun as a family," Perez says. "When the summer comes, we get to spend time together, so I think that's really special."
Other residents hit the beach, went fishing or played golf.
"It's not that hot, so I think that it's okay to play 18 rounds at Van Cortlandt Park," says Everald Christie. "So I just thought I'd come out and get this done."
