Residents plunge into water to help homeless

A group of Bronx residents are taking the plunge into cold water to raise awareness about homelessness in New York City. The group dove into the 32-degree water at Orchard Beach Saturday morning.

Residents plunge into water to help homeless
A group of Bronx residents are taking the plunge into cold water to raise awareness about homelessness in New York City.
The group dove into the 32-degree water at Orchard Beach Saturday morning.
Participants brought extra socks, gloves, hats and other clothing items to donate to the nonprofit organization BronxWorks.
The event also raised more than $1,600 to help the homeless.
