A construction project in the Bronx is angering neighbors who say their roads have been torn up for too long.      

The project is fixing water mains and sewers on Webster Avenue and is managed by the New York City Department of Design and Construction.

The project runs from 165th Street all the way up Webster Avenue to Gun Hill Road.

Some blocks on this four-mile stretch are construction-free, but residents say other blocks have been ripped up and worked on for more than two years.

Resident on Webster Avenue between 169th and 170th streets say the surfaces are uneven and lanes are narrowed because of the project.

Neighbors have reported dangerous conditions, with one woman saying EMS workers had trouble loading her husband into an ambulance nearby during a medical emergency because of street conditions. Others say they're just fed up with all the inconvenience.

News 12 reached out to the DDC for comment. It said that a community construction liaison is in place to help resolve any issues caused by the construction and that the whole project should be finished by this fall.
