Ribbon cut for Eastchester autism center

A new autism center in Eastchester aims to provide services for both adults and children by the end of the year.
Officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Michael P. Huseby Autism Center Monday. It's slated to open in September.
The center will offer daily habilitation services for adults and a full-time school for children with autism. In all, it's expected to serve about 200 people.
Admission is free and based on an application process with the nonprofit Quality Services for the Autism Community and the needs of each individual.
Officials with the nonprofit say they're still in need of resources and are asking for charitable donations toward a fire and security alarm system and a computer learning center.
