A mother in Riverdale says her four children are in quarantine after a freshman at their school tested positive for the coronavirus.
For about a week now, Jessica Haller says she has been stuck in her Riverdale home. Her four children attend SAR Academy and High School.
"The worst part is the uncertainty. When an 8-year-old says, 'Oh, I'm not feeling well.' Is she not feeling well because she is cooped up, is she not feeling well because there is something else going on? I think I am just focusing right now on making sure everybody is healthy physically and emotionally," said Haller.

Haller tells News 12 her kids range from 7 to 17 in age and that they are not sick. However, she says the quarantine presents challenges.
"First challenge is, if you are a parent, you become the homeschooler, the tech assistant, the teaching assistant because you have to make sure the kids are doing everything they need to be doing," said Haller.
SAR Academy and other schools, including colleges across the city, are turning to online classes as the coronavirus ramps up and the World Health Organization has declared the outbreak a pandemic.
"Over time, as more test have been available, there have been more students that have tested positive but they have all been asymptomatic. But no one knows timing because they haven't all been in school together since last week Monday," said Haller.
As the city and state work to minimize the virus' impact, Haller says her kids will be able to get out of quarantine by Monday and that they can go back to school on March 25.
"We are really in a good spot and everyone is healthy right now," said Haller.v
