Robbers target No. 6 line riders
Police are asking for the public's help after a group of men pulled off a string of robberies along a Bronx subway line.
The latest incident happened just after 9 p.m. Tuesday as a victim was exiting the No. 6 train subway station at East 149th Street. According to police, the three suspects pushed the male teenager against a wall and took his cellphone and cash.
Two similar robberies happened late at night last week along the No. 6 line.
Police obtained one suspect's photo after the suspect used the latest victim's cellphone to take a selfie. The suspects are believed to be between the ages of 18 and 20.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
