A Bronx woman released from a psychiatric hospital less than a week ago has gone missing from her Fordham home.
Family members of Bibi Amina Shamin say they woke up Saturday morning to find that the 50-year-old was gone.
Family members say Shamin left her home on East Kingsbridge Road with $100 in her pocket and the clothes on her back.
They say Shamin was released from Bronx State Psychiatric Hospital on July 16 to celebrate the Ramadan holiday with her family.
According to her family, Shamin was diagnosed with schizophrenia when she was 17 years old.
Shamin's family filed a police report on Saturday and has checked all hospitals in the area.
