School of American Ballet holds open auditions for kids
The School of American Ballet held open auditions in the borough on Sunday.
The auditions were for students between the ages of 6 to 10 years old for a year-round program.
The legendary dance academy trains more prima ballerinas than any other school in the country.
The children chosen at the audition will approach the barre at Lincoln Center this fall, where they will take class two to three times a week to master their technique.
Boys train for free and girls can qualify for financial aid.
