Some Schuylerville residents are demanding four-way stop signs and speed bumps at an intersection in their area where they say drivers refuse to slow down.
Isaac Maldonado says he saw a crash at Coddington and Hollywood avenues a few months back. He says a speeding car slammed into another that blew a stop sign, then they careened into a parked car nearby.
One of the cars was carrying a child who suffered a head injury in the collision, he says.
"People are flying through this block every day, and I've got my son," Maldonado says. "He's going to be walking soon, and I want him to play outside with me. And I don't want an accident happening. Car comes up onto the sidewalk, what's going to happen to the kid? What if he's playing outside on the sidewalk?"
The city Department of Transportation says it is looking into the intersection, but its Vision Zero website does not show any accidents there between January and August of this year.
