Neighbors of a pregnant Baychester woman who's been missing since Sunday say their fears are mounting as temperatures drop and no sign of her has emerged.
Andrea Caruth, of Corsa Avenue, was last seen between 10:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday as she left to meet a friend for brunch. The friend never saw her that day.
The 39-year-old Caruth lives in a two-family house with her father and her boyfriend. She also runs a day care center called Kiddie College out of the home.
Officers and detectives with the NYPD's 47th Precinct searched the home Tuesday for clues about the woman's whereabouts.
Two of Shawyntee Boothe's children attend Caruth's day care. She says Caruth's disappearance is alarming.
"I know as a fact Ms. Caruth [would] not just up and leave her students," Boothe says.
Caruth, who is 5 months pregnant, left behind her keys, purse and cellphone the morning she vanished, police say.
