The search is on to find a recently engaged couple whose proposal at Bushwick Inlet Park Monday was captured unexpectedly on camera.
The unknown couple was filmed by Felix, a 360-degree video rover. Its operator, Craig Shelton, tells News 12 he never filmed a proposal before.
"I've never captured anything just so intimate and just pure by chance so it was pretty cool," he said.
Shelton works for a tech company, VirtualAPT, shooting 360-degree videos for real estate listings and other spaces. He says he was there to get footage of the river. When he walked away to avoid being in the camera's shot he unexpectedly filmed the moment. Shelton says he didn't realize what happened until he edited the video.
"It was amazing. I can't even describe it really. It's just one of those things that you can't fake," he said.
Shelton says he hopes the couple comes forward and is ecstatic to have the footage.
