Season extended at NYC beaches
Crowds of people flocked to Orchard Beach on Labor Day to mark the unofficial end of summer, but there's still time to squeeze in some more beach days.
The city has extended the season at all of its beaches, including Orchard Beach. It's welcome news for beach bums who want to enjoy the warm weather while it lasts.
The beach season will now end on Sept. 14.
However, Labor Day marked the end of the season for the city's public pools.
News 12 meterologists say the rest of the week will see temperatures in the 80s with a chance of showers Wednesday and Thursday.
