Service dogs help Bronx veteran fight PTSD
A Bronx veteran says his service dogs changed his life after battling with post-traumatic stress disorder.
After Joshua Ace finished his tour in Iraq in 2005, he realized his injuries and PTSD had stopped him from living a normal life. He says coming back to reality was especially hard after he realized he wouldn't be able to enroll in SWAT because of his injuries.
His life started to turn around when he began training service dogs for other veterans. He says his Labrador retrievers, Bruce Lee and Aries, changed his life in ways he can't even describe.
Ace can often be found training his dogs in the park, and he says he finds happiness in making people smile. His goal is to keep training dogs for all the heroes that serve our country.
