Sexuality expert says parents must ask baby's permission before changing diaper
A sexuality expert in Australia says parents should ask a baby's permission before changing their dirty diaper.
Sexuality expert Deanne Carson appeared on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation TV program during an interview and suggested babies need to consent to having their diapers changed.
Carson says babies and infants aren't going to flat out tell their parents they don't want their dirty diapers changed, however, she says they are able to send social cues and facial expressions.
Carson has faced a mountain of backlash on social media and some have criticized her ideology as "left wing lunacy."
She defended her comments by saying, "The idea around consent is about empowering children with their rights and protecting them from sexual abuse."
