A Sheepshead Bay business owner says the COVID-19 pandemic has put pressure on her new business as her doors remain closed.
Gina's Glam Bar owner Gina Quinones says her new business was open for just three weeks during the COVID-19 pandemic.
She says she and her husband had travelled to Turkey for a wedding in March but was stuck there for six months amid travel issues - while their beauty bar remained closed.
Their doors are still closed, and all they want to do is get back to work.
The business now faces another fork in the road, as the state ordered nonessential businesses to close in hot spot areas.
"I'm only 400 feet away from being open. So, across the street is the yellow zone and we're in the red zone," she says.
Quinones says she is looking ahead to brighter days for her and her neighbors who are also struggling.
