A shooting victim trying to drive himself to the hospital collided with a motorcyclist in Wakefield, sending that man to the hospital too.
According to police, the 24-year-old driver was with two other people in a car when shots rang out, piercing the driver's side door and hitting him in the back. It happened at around 6:30 p.m. Sunday on Pitman and Wickham avenues.
Investigators say the man tried to drive off after the shooting to get help, but collided with the motorcycle five blocks away at Baychester and Neried avenues.
Both men are listed in stable condition at Jacobi Medical Center.
