Hours before Thanksgiving officially gave way to Black Friday, shoppers were ready to take advantage of all kinds of deals.

Shoppers made their way to the Bay Plaza Mall Thursday evening, with their personal strategies in mind to make sure they came away with exactly what they wanted.

Kevin Suarez says getting ready for Black Friday is similar to preparing for a test.

"You gotta make sure you study and all that, so that come time for the test you're ready to get what you need to get," says Suarez. "When it comes to Black Friday, I suggest getting your stuff early, know what you want to buy early, know the stores that are open."
