A new dog run is open in Soundview Park.
The area is complete with a chain-link perimeter fence, benches, tree beds and a water fountain for both dogs and owners.
"Dogs are man's best friend but they also need friends," says Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz. "It's a great way to have dogs make friends here. I'm excited, my dog is excited."
The Parks Department says they want the community to enjoy the area but are reminding users to clean up after their dogs.
