Continuous flooding, peeling walls and wet floors are just some of the issues tenants say they are dealing with in Soundview.
For the past month, the issues have been affecting residents at 1040 Soundview Ave. and they say nothing has been done to fix it.
Residents told News 12 that water seeps onto the floors, and the fire department shut down the building's elevator.
Since then, they have had to use the flooded stairwells.
They have reached out to NYCHA multiple times, and while NYCHA did come to survey the damage, residents say nothing has been fixed.
"They say they come they fix it and a week later over again...I mean like this is unfair, this is constantly," said resident Noemi Cirilo.
NYCHA says it repaired the rook leak and restored the elevator service Tuesday. They also provided temporary housing for one resident. They say any residents experiencing issues should  create a work ticket by using the MyNychaApp or by calling the Customer Contact Center at 718-707-7771.
News 12 was told by residents that they fear it will only get worse.
