State police: Small plane crashes in East Haddam, no injuries reported

Connecticut state police say a small plane crashed in East Haddam Saturday.
They say troopers and firefighters responded to the Goodspeed Airport. Police say the pilot and passenger told them that while trying to take off, the plane went down, ran off the runway and came to a stop in a nearby field.
No injuries were reported. The bottom of the plane was damaged.
