The steel pan band 'Evolution' has been rehearsing for the upcoming competition at the West Indian American Day Parade in Brooklyn.
The band says it has been practicing for four hours a night since July.
Evolution will compete in Panorama, a music competition for steel pan bands from Trinidad and Tobago.
Panorama will take place the night before the parade at the Brooklyn Museum.
Evolution placed second in last year’s competition.
